I AM a mother to a beautiful daughter
I JUST NOW made my husband wake up at 5am to make milk for Zara
I SAID he should help out more often because she’s also his daughter
I WANT to cuddle and kiss Zara all the time
I WISH I had more patience with Zara
I HATE loosing my cool with Zara
I MISS the little girl when I’m at work
I FEAR financially I may not be able to provide her and her coming sibling
I HEAR her speak and sing (although tuneless), and I feel a great sense of pride
I WONDER if I will be able to love her sibling as much as I love her
I REGRET every time after I smack her for the naughty things she did
I AM NOT the perfect mum although I would like to be one
I SING to Zara in the car, when she’s taking her bath, before bed time or on request
I CRY when she gets a fever or get very sick (luckily it’s not very often)
I AM NOT ALWAYS there when she says something funny or achieves a milestone
I MADE Zara home made fruit and vege pureed when she just started solids
I WRITE about Zara’s adventure and her development in this blog
I CONFUSE about the things Zara says sometimes
I NEED a good maid, who’ll stay and work with me till my kids all turned 10.
I SHOULD be nicer to Daddy, although he’s not the perfect father, he does try (I think)
I START thinking how we will cope with 2 young kids
I FINISH this meme

I think you are a wonderful mother and Zara could not do better. Course I think Zara’s dad could be cut a little slack. Two kids won’t be that bad. Mine are less than two years apart. They entertain each other when they aren’t fighting. So you will be having punish more. Be firm and don’t cry in front of em because you punished them.
I see the financial fear listed. The biggest mistake I made with my kids is not saving for their college sooner. Because I did not start a fund when they were babies I am paying a lot more now in the move to catch up. I will do it. But some months I suffer to do this. All you young moms that come here should seriously consider your child’s college now. If you are hats off to you. Well done.

I was dead calm (though inevitable worried) when I drove fei mui to hospital a few midnights ago when she was running a temp of 40.5 deg. You will be calmer as the days go by, esp when Zara’s sibling (s) come along.

I also wonder if I would be able to love no 2 as much as I loves Qi Ning but everyone assure me that I would because mother’s loves reservior has no end.
I shivered, cried and prayed hard when bb is too sick.
I guess when we think of financial fear, think of those who have 4 kids and earn only 600 per month and can still survive. I guess we will feel that we are luckier.
Don’t worry about loving your 2nd less or more? Mothers always knows and does only the best for her children.. and being a good mum yourself, you’ll do good. Believe me ๐
