Zara’s Moment March 7, 2006

Posted by Zara's Mama in development, language, Zara.

Zara’s trying to use more and more words to express herself, her pronunciation is not perfect and sometimes it takes a trained ear to know what she’s saying. When trying to pronounce a difficult word, she always brightens up when we understand her.

My MIL always says to her “only your mummy understands what you say”. I guess it’s people like myself and Tuyam who can make out what she says most of the time because we spends the most time with her.

Here are some of Zara’s talking moments, very straight forward.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~ . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Brought her to the bookshop the other day, when she stepped in, she looked around smiling, and said, “Many Books!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Put a Sesame Street VCD on for her
Zara : *took a glance* Don’t want
(we pretended we didn’t hear that)
Zara : *shook her head* Don’t want
Zara : *pointed to the TV* Off. Don’t want.
Tuyam : What you want?
Zara : Barney! (but of course)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~ . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She likes playing this game
Me : Zara is a girl or a boy?
Zara : Boy! *looked at me with a cheeky smile*
Me : *pretended to be shocked* BOY?? Oh No!
Zara : Ger! *giggled*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And this, really warmed Daddy’s heart.
Me: Zara love Daddy?
Zara : Larf
Then she continues : Many Many

Yeah.. I find that at this age they are really really cute and always surprises you. Me too enjoy motherhood a lot.

Yes, maximum lum for Daddy.

I didn’t.. But I say “I love you very much” every day to her.. so I guess she wanted to say much too but didn’t know the word so she uses Many Many instead.

Thanks. ๐Ÿ˜›

She didn’t say that though. *sob sob*. But I know she loves me very much.. because she always glues to me. ๐Ÿ˜›

Yeah.. purposely says she’s a boy just to see my reaction.

Aiya.. Lyon also so sweet.. you teach her how to say ็ˆฑไฝ ?

Yeah hor.. maybe she’ll do that.. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Barney == Mummy == Larf.

Contented mum,
Daddy heard already whole day smiling la.. She didn’t say that to mummy, but I know she larf me many many too.

Cocka Doodle,
You larf Barney or Piao Mei many many?

Yes, and you only understand 1 baby.. not universal.. tough huh? Being a language specialist? ๐Ÿ˜›

Hee Hee.. No wonder most women are very good in languages.. b’cos God made us so to prepare for motherhood. ๐Ÿ˜›

Does it mean you have a 10yr old child already? No? You didn’t grow up 10yrs ago? Aw.. You didn’t know who to pick to grow up with?? It’s tough when you have too many choices..

She’s bodek kaki number one.. Knows who to bodek one.
Little boy killers?? Hee hee.. I will have lots of Hokkien mee to eat for supper liao when she grows up. ๐Ÿ˜›

Mummy was shocked.. then smile.. then shocked still.
Daddy was smiling from ear to ear all the time..

She tris to communicate to everybody.. but her Martian language can only be understood by us.. ๐Ÿ˜›

Thank you.

Yeah.. Bodek Kaki Number1.. You should see how she calls my dad.. Ah Kong.. very sweetly.. Call Daddy also very manja.. But call Tuyam.. wow.. fierce.. always TATAK TATAK on top of her lungs.

26. Allyfeel - March 8, 2006

ya, it’s usually the case, people who spend more time with them knows what they say. IT took me a while to figure out what bb said last time.

Zara is such a good girl. If my hubby hear bb said that sure very ‘lum’ one.

27. Zara's Mama - March 8, 2006

Lots of larf to ahjomel aunty also. ๐Ÿ˜›

Aiks.. does it mean it’s my genes?

The Diva,
Haha.. 1 year is ok. My niece was still watching Barney when she was 9. But I guess as she grows older, she won’t just get stuck on 1 characters. *cross my fingers*

Thank you Milly jie jie. ๐Ÿ˜›

Can imagine how Daddy feels hor? See teeth no see eyes. ๐Ÿ˜›

Ah.. you can teach BB to say, esp on father’s day or hubby’s birthday. Then no need present from you already. ๐Ÿ˜›

28. Tracy - March 8, 2006

Wah, Zara really knows how to ‘lum’ daddy hor? Kids sometimes are so lovable dat u just feel like hugging and kissing them, rite?

She calls Tuyam on top of her voice? Heehee, Destinee oso shouts for her Kakak too. But Zara’s so cute shouting the word “Tatak”. Destinee used to call my maid “Katak” and Gung gung “Dung Dung”. Hmmm ….

Heehee, I still watch Barney wor.

29. Vyvy - March 8, 2006

i’m really amazed with her language ability. she really pick up words fast.

30. Kat - March 9, 2006

Cute huh, their first few words.. I can’t wait until I can have a proper conversation with Kt. He’s always blabbering away whenever he sees anything and points enthusiastically but I can’t for life of me understand what he is trying to say!!

Kt also loves to tease me. He will give his jie-jie a hug and a kiss, give his daddy also, but when I ask him for a hug and kiss, he’ll run away laughing..

He’s also into Barney now..*eyes rolling and shuddering at the thought of the purple dinosaur*

31. TWO LITTLE FELLAS - March 10, 2006

32. Sue - March 12, 2006

She’s so sweet ๐Ÿ™‚ I guess girls are better at expressing their feeling and bodek their parents hor ๐Ÿ˜›
