Busy Baby September 10, 2007

Zaria has started to crawl since last week.
Initially we had to put her on her tummy before she could crawl slowly; after a few days, she started to be able to bring herself from a siting postion to a crawling position, and then goes about retrieving things or investigating an item. She’s still crawling comando style, but very much faster now.
When she’s not crawling, she’s placed on the walker, and she’ll be zooming here and there; banging on things, chipping the feet of our furniture (Daddy had to ‘bundle up’ the sofa feet to prevent further damage), knocking into people’s feet (which is very painful!)! She tries to open up drawers in the kitchen (which is child proof since Zara’s time, luckily), pulling down table cloths, or just grabbing anything that she can lay her hands on.
What a busy girl she is, zooming here and slithering there.
After a busy day, she likes to lean on me to play with a toy while I accompany Zara when Zara watches TV.
Last Friday, she was playing with the remote control, happily pressing this and that button, talking to herself, and then it was total silence… what happened?

Hee hee.. she fell asleep just like that.

My sons use the walker but not my daughter after I read about the disadvantages of walkers. Anyway, Zaria must be very tired after all that activities.

Hahaha – she’ll be a good companion for Daddy if he’s a football/news fan (my hubby falls asleep in this position MANY times). I wish Lucas would too but he’s a very light sleeper!

so cute!!!! i feel like hugging her… i love babies… feel like hugging them till they burst… haha..joking.. btw, why? whats the disadvatages of walkers? does it has any effect on the child?? physically?? because if it does, i use baby walker when i was a baby… *wink*
there’s just something therapeutic about watching baby sleeping… it just makes the world stop and u can really see and feel the peace.

LOL!! reminds me of a couple of men I know, falling asleep like that with the remote in hand… *grin*

Hey – can share how do you childproof your kitchen drawers/cupboards. I am at my wits ends trying to stop Aiden from pulling everything out.
ZMM : Ikea ‘lock’.. it’s like a latch which makes the child not able to pull out the drawer, but only with adult’s ’skillful’ hand, it’s able to open up. Even Zara now still can’t open it on her own.

awwwwwww… sooo cute!! they somehow like the remote eh? we had to buy a cheap one for aidan so he can press, bang, slam and bite it!

She is so cute, sleeping like this. Just drop to sleep after a busy day. Too bad, my girl is not like that. Only padding and rocking for her when its bed time:(

I find this stage of their babyhood the most difficult as in we have to be very watchful of their every moves. So I imagine you and your maid having very tired eyes…hahaha…
